Concentrate supplementation on milk yield, methane and CO2 production in crossbred dairy cows grazing in tropical climate regions

چکیده

The objective of this study was to evaluate the level concentrate supplementation on production and chemical composition milk from 12 crossbred F1 dual-purpose cows (½ Bos taurus – ½ indicus) estimate emission CH4, N2O, CO2 gases. included over 60 days lactation. grazed 28% tropical native grassland 72% Brachiaria spp. Cynodon neumfluensis, supplemented with 0, 150, 300, 450g per kg daily production, during three experimental periods 15 each in a crossover design. Pasture samples were collected analyzed for dry matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid fiber. Milk (kg d-1) recorded daily, nitrous oxide (N2O), emissions excreta CH4 calculated. Results SAS MIXED procedure. Concentrate dairy did not improve yield but increased N2O (P < 0.0001) cow as diet; Ym factor region yielded less than IPCC model 0.0001). In conclusion, calculation using specific factors climate is better default order overestimate emissions.

Influence of Body Condition Score on Yield and Composition of Milk in Crossbred Dairy Cows

The study was carried out for a period of 150 days on 120 Holstein Friesian crossbred dairy cows between mid to late lactation to quantify the influence of body condition score (BCS) on yield and composition of milk. Total 12 dairy farms having same housing systems and holding at least 20 crossbred dairy cows per farm between mid to late lactation were selected for this study purposes. BCS of i...

Influence of Dietary Energy and Protein Intake on Yield and Composition of Milk in Crossbred Dairy Cows

The study was carried out on 120 crossbred Holstein × Shahiwal dairy cows for a period of 150 days to quantify the influence of dietary energy and protein intake on yield and composition of milk. Total 12 dairy farms having similar housing systems and holding at least 20 dairy cows in between mid to late lactation were selected for study purposes. The farms were located in the peri-urban and ur...

Impact of cow strain and concentrate supplementation on grazing behaviour, milk yield and metabolic state of dairy cows in an organic pasture-based feeding system

As ruminants are able to digest fibre efficiently and assuming that competition for feed v. food use would intensify in the future, cereals and other field crops should primarily be destined to cover the dietary needs of humans and monogastric animals such as poultry and pigs. Farming systems with a reduced or absent concentrate supplementation, as postulated by organic agriculture associations...

Effects of grass silage and soybean meal supplementation on milk production and milk fatty acid profiles of grazing dairy cows.

The effects of supplementation with grass silage and replacement of some corn in the concentrate with soybean meal (SBM) on milk production, and milk fatty acid (FA) profiles were evaluated in a replicated 4 x 4 Latin square study using 16 dairy cows grazing pasture composed of ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, and white clover. Each experimental period lasted for 3 wk. The 4 dietary treatments wer...
